Anatomy of the

The webinar I’ve been looking forward to most!

As a manual therapist, my first venture into the abdominal area filled me with fear and dread as I knew very little about it.  Since then this area has become one of my favourite subjects.

In this webinar we will start to look at the organs within the parietal peritoneum, the sack of tissue that surrounds some, but not all of the visceral tissues.  We’ll study the amazing structure that is the greater omentum and look at some of the pictures I have collected over the years of how enormously varied this tissue is.

From there we will head towards an overview of the sphincters closest to the surface and discuss what we might be able to actually feel and what we might be doing during manual therapy.  Movement is key in this area and we’ll look at peristalsis and bulk flow and how fluid moves around both in the organs and in the spaces that surround them.

As usual we’ll be taking questions, looking at some videos, lots of dissection slides and generally have 90 minutes packed to the rafters with incredible information.  All for just a fiver!
My Pilates students have loved my renewed enthusiasm for dealing with their issues through functional movement.
