Functional Breathing. Defining what’s vital: Webinar with Julian Baker & Ana Barretxeguren

I am so thrilled to be presenting this webinar with my friend and colleague Ana Barretxeguren from Evolve Movement Education.  Ana is an incredible dissector, anatomist and movement teacher and her own personal journey with her severe breathing issues, brought about by abdomial surgery, have given her a unique insight into breath and how easy it is to be dysfunctional when it’s not happening the way it could.

In this webinar, we will look at the fascia of the thoracic area and how it can be impacted by scar tissue, movement, injury and disease mechanisms.  Ana will give some of her unique insights into what we can do with clients and ourselves to check and see how breath impacts on our health and movement.  We will also be looking at the hydraulic amplifiers and how fluid movement is driven through breath and thoracic movement.

Ana is one of those rare beings who you feel compelled to pay attention to whenever she speaks.  To be in the same space as her is to learn, every single time and I am delighted to be hosting her incredible brain and vision in what will be an incredibly special session.

My Pilates students have loved my renewed enthusiasm for dealing with their issues through functional movement.
